Westside Church is looking for a Part-Time Student Minister who loves Jesus, loves students, and has a desire to help the next generation know Christ and grow in their faith.

We’re not simply looking for someone to maintain a program. We’re looking for someone who will build relationships, make disciples, partner with parents, and help lead our Student Ministry forward.

We also understand the difference between part-time ministry and full-time expectations. We want this position to be sustainable for the person serving in it.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for someone who has a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and a genuine calling and passion for ministering to students.

Our Student Minister should be someone who:

• Loves students and enjoys building relationships with them.

• Is committed to biblical teaching and discipleship.

• Can communicate Scripture in a way students can understand and apply.

• Wants to reach students who are not currently connected to church.

• Values relationships with parents and families.

• Works well as part of a ministry team.

• Is dependable, teachable, and willing to take initiative.

• Has strong communication and organizational skills.

• Is willing to invest in the life of Westside Church beyond simply showing up for Student Ministry events.

Ministry experience is valuable, but we’re also open to someone who is still growing and developing as a ministry leader.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

The Student Minister will provide leadership and direction for Westside’s ministry to middle and high school students.

That includes helping plan and lead our regular Student Ministry gatherings, teaching and discipling students, developing relationships with students and their families, and creating opportunities for students to grow spiritually and serve others.

The Student Minister will also help:

Reach students.
Look for opportunities to connect with students in our church and community.

Disciple students.
Teach Scripture and help students develop habits that lead to lifelong faith.

Build relationships.
Be present in students’ lives and develop meaningful relationships beyond scheduled church activities.

Partner with parents.
Recognize that parents are the primary spiritual influence in a student's life and look for ways the church can support them.

Develop leaders.
Recruit, encourage, and work alongside adult volunteers who invest in students.

Plan ministry.
Help coordinate Student Ministry events, activities, camps, retreats, mission opportunities, and other experiences throughout the year.

Be part of the team.
Work alongside the pastor, church staff, and ministry leaders as part of the overall mission of Westside Church.
